Program
The symposium “The Biodiversity of Reptiles and Amphibians – Their Crucial Role in Healthy Ecosystems” is a three-day event, with a program tailored to different audiences:
Friday, May 29, 2026
Education day
This day is specifically aimed at education: students, teachers, trainers, and educational institutions involved in biology, ecology, animal care, or nature management.
The lectures and workshops on Friday are designed to deepen knowledge and integrate current herpetological themes into education. Also suitable for vocational and applied sciences students and anyone with an educational focus.
Saturday, May 30 & Sunday, May 31, 2026
Professionals & International Community
The weekend program is geared toward professionals and specialists in the field, such as herpetologists, conservation biologists, ecologists, policymakers, researchers, wildlife conservationists, animal caretakers, and veterinarians. It’s also a unique opportunity for serious enthusiasts of reptiles, amphibians, and biodiversity.
Saturday and Sunday offer an in-depth, internationally oriented program featuring top scientists from both the Netherlands and abroad. Both days are included in one weekend ticket.
